Procedure for working on knife pleats
(i) Mark the position of the pleats

(ii) Fold the pleat such that 1 rests on 3 and 2 folds back. Pin the pleats across and
tack them with temporary stitches securely.

(iii) Remove the pins and press lightly to keep the pleats in place.
(iv) Fasten on by a double stitch and stitch the whole garment.
(v) Remove temporary stitches and press the pleats so that they face one direction. Knife
pleats can be machined on the right side depending on individual requirements.
