Fasten off securing the end of thread with stitches during sewing

Fastener is a device for closing the opening on garments. Examples of fasteners
are zips, buttons and buttonholes

the hem, often called flared skirt

typically bias binding into a narrow tube and attaching it to the edge
of a piece of fabric. It can also include a cord to give it extra body
Pucker to form or make something from small folds or lines
Raw edges unfinished, rough, or undecorated edges of a fabric
Seam the line where two pieces of fabric are stitched together
