Miscellaneous sewing tools: Miscellaneous tools are used to make sewing activities
easier and faster when you need to fix something on your own or have a variety of
tasks at hand. The miscellaneious tools should be kept in a dry and clean container to
prevent damage or rust and for easy access. Refer to Table 1.6 showing some of the
miscellaneous sewing tools:

Item Uses Diagram
Loop turner This is a fine metal wire used to turn
the fabric right from the side out. It is
essential when one is making Rouleau
loops.
Ribbon threaded It is used for threading tapes, elastic or
ribbon through casing or eyelet holes
in the material.
Needle threader This is a small device with a thin metal
wire used in threading a needle.
Stiletto A rounded shaft with a pointed end
used for making small holes and
undoing stitches or removing tacking
threads.
Thimble It is used to protect the finger from
being injured during hand sewing.
