               Activity 3.10
              Visit a nearby cereal crop market and do the following:

              1.  Find out the price of sorghum.

              2.  Find out the prices of processed sorghum flour and products.

              4.  Summarise your report for sharing.



              Exercise 3.4
              1.  Explain the maturity indicators for sorghum crop plants which are ready for
                  harvesting.

              2.  Identify the common challenges in drying sorghum. Suggest a solution to
                  each identified challenge.

              3.  Imagine you want to thresh your harvested sorghum, but you have no access
                  to a threshing machine. Propose other ways you can use to perform the task.

              4.  Most farmers in Nguvukazi village  pack sorghum in their  old sacks and
                  stores, yet pests keep destroying the crop. What could be the problems, and
                  what advice would you give to them to solve the problem?
              5.  Your friend in a neighbouring village is struggling to find a market for their
                  harvested sorghum.  What  strategies  would you recommend  to help your
                  friend find a reliable market for the produce.
