Activity 8.2
To ensure that students are well-prepared and can effectively complete
the activity on Mr. Daudi’s hire purchase agreement and potential asset
repossession, the teacher should consider the following aspects:
           FOR ONLINE READING ONLY
           1. Reasons for asset repossession: Guide the students to investigate
the typical terms and conditions of hire purchase agreements,
               focusing on the rights of the supplier in case of non-payment;
explain the financial and legal reasons that might lead Ms. Mwajuma
to consider repossession and provide a detailed explanation, using
examples from similar cases if available.

           2. Situations and implications of asset repossession: Lead the
students to identify and describe at least two real-world examples
or hypothetical scenarios where asset repossession has occurred
or could occur. Discuss the potential financial, operational, and
reputational impacts on Mr. Daudi’s business. Also, discuss
the potential financial and business impacts on Ms. Mwajuma
as the supplier, and reflect on the broader implications of asset
repossession for both small business owners and suppliers.

           3. Reflection on asset repossession: Guide the students to write a
one-page summary reflecting on their learning process and key
takeaways from this activity, and highlight the main points they
have learned about hire purchase agreements, reasons for asset
               repossession, and its implications.

           4. Presentation preparation: Ask the students to create a structured
presentation with an introduction, main content, and conclusion.
They should include key findings from parts (a) and (b), and your
reflection from part (c) by using slides, charts, or other visual aids
to enhance their presentations and be prepared to present their
findings in a 5–10-minute presentation to the class.
