Introduction

Writing skills are essential for all of us since we need to express our thoughts, feelings,
and ideas that can be preserved for a long time. In this chapter, you will learn formal
and informal writing skills and improve your ability to use Chinese characters in formal
and informal settings. The competencies developed will enable you to write formal and
informal letters, curriculum vitae (CV), vote of thanks, invitation cards, welcoming
remarks, as well as fill in forms.
