1. Use an atlas or any reliable online sources to find a map
of Tanzania, then draw it and show the following features:

(b) The Indian Ocean;
(c) Lake Victoria;

(d) Lake Tanganyika;

(e) Lake Nyasa; and
(f) The Islands of Pemba, Unguja, and Mafia.

2. Add a key, a North direction, a frame, and a title to the map
you have drawn.

Tanzania?
2. In the map of Tanzania, what important features are found
on the borders of Tanzania and neighbouring countries?

Digital map Drawing

Digital map drawing involves using computer technology or smartphones
with map drawing softwares like ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, and Google
My Maps. Each software has unique features for map drawing.

At this level, you will learn to draw maps digitally using the Google
My Maps software. Drawing maps with Google My Maps software is

easier, whether you use the website or the smartphone app. Google
My Maps has an interface that allows users to interact with the tool
easily and draw maps quickly without needing much expertise.
