is the Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) whereas in Zanzibar the

Fire safety certificate
It is an obligation of a business entity to ensure there is fire safety at a given workplace.
In enforcing this requirement, the Fire and Rescue Services Department under the
Ministry of Home Affairs is entrusted to manage fire accidents, control rescue services,
and disaster prevention at the workplace. A business entity that complies with fire safety
standards is issued a Fire Safety Certificate as shown in Figure 5.12. This certificate is
not differentiated between Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar because the same ministry
serves both sides of the United Republic of Tanzania.
