Management information, allowing the allocation of traffic
channels, management of radio resources, and coordination of

SS7 Signaling System No. 7 (SS7) is an international
(Signaling telecommunication protocol standard that facilitates the exchange
System No. 7) of information and control signals among network elements in a
Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). It comprises a set
of telephony signaling protocols used for call setup and teardown
in most parts of the global PSTN. SS7 enables advanced calling
features like call routing, billing, and Short Message Service
(SMS). It also plays a crucial role in services such as number
translation, local number portability, and prepaid billing. As
a critical component of modern telecommunications systems,
SS7 provides the necessary signaling and control for various
                              network services and capabilities.
