(b) Developing listening skills. To sing in two-part harmony
correctly, singers must listen carefully to each other’s voices.
Listening carefully helps pupils develop the ability to focus on
different sounds while maintaining their voice. This is crucial
for learning to sing and improving listening skills;

(c) Strengthening teamwork. When singers sing in two-part
harmony, they understand the importance of working together.
Since each voice is important to create harmony, singers learn
how to work together effectively, where everyone contributes
equally to the group. This helps build teamwork and teaches
patience and understanding among peers; and
(d) Building confidence. Singing successfully in two-part harmony
increases singers’ confidence. When singers know they can
sing correctly and in harmony with others, they gain the courage
to perform in front of an audience. This is an important step
in building confidence and the ability to express themselves
through singing.
Singing with an accompaniment of musical instruments
Musical instruments are used to support singing. This art needs
special skills. There are important issues to consider when singing
with musical instrument accompaniment. Singers and musical
instruments players should:
(a) Practising together regularly;
(b) Positioning yourself in the correct order. For more than two
singers, the standing plan can be a semicircle. The first voice
singers, stands in front, followed by the second voice singers.
Musical instrument players, should position themselves beside
