Multiplication of fractions with different denominators
When multiplying fractions, the numerators and denominators

are multiplied separately to obtain the answer.

                     Example 1

                 1 3 =
                   ×
                 5 7

                Solution

Multiply the numerators by the numerator and the denominator
                by the denominator:

                 1 × 3 = 1 × 3 = 3
                 5 7 5 × 7 35

                               1 3 3
                Therefore, × = .
                               5 7 35
