your enterprise to pursue. Market research is also important as it will allow you to
understand better your planned enterprise and how to best serve your customers.
You can begin market research by analysing customer needs and determining how to
create products and services to meet the identified needs. You can then set goals for
your enterprise, which may include revenue targets and production goals you want to
achieve for both short and long term. Thereafter, you can design strategies and action
plans to reach the set revenue and production goals, including necessary resources.
Figure 3.1 presents some physical and financial factors to consider in planning for
livestock enterprise. These factors are further elaborated in the subsequent sections.
