Poetry
(a) Read the following text and answer the questions that follow.
Poetry is a unique genre of literature. Poems use peculiar language and
presentation style. The poem’s content is very important. Poets may add extra
importance to the content of poems through the creative use of language and
the form she or he uses. Poems (like songs) are written in lines called verses.
A group of these lines is called a stanza. In traditional poetry, the lines of
poems ending were written with words with the same ending like beat/cheat
or decision/position). This line style ending gave poetry the so-called rhyme.
