(vi) Place the right side of the facing to
the right side of the garment and
tack with small stitches along the
outline of the scallops. Tack facing
and garment together to prevent
stitching from pulling the facing
out of position.

tacking. Cut turning 6 mm deep to
shape scallopes.

(ix) Turn facing to the wrong side of
the garment, work out the seam of
the scallops, removing all pockets.
Tuck at edge to hold in position.
Press lightly then remove tacking
and re-press, or edge stitch remove
tacking and press.
