Procedures for working on a bound
pocket
(i) Mark the position of the pocket
opening on the right side of the
garment using tacking stitch.
(iii) Trim the seam allowance, neat the
raw edges of the pocket , snip and
press it.

(ii) Cut a straight strip of fabric
long enough to bind the slit. For
example, in order to make a pocket
of 10cm long and 12cm wide cut a
strip of 15cm long by 12cm wide.
(iii) Mark the position of the pocket
opening on the strip.
