(iii) Choose structured garments, as they hold in and
camouflage extra weight.
(iv) Neckline: wide and low for example low V-neckline,
square and sweetheart necklines will be suitable.
(v) Sleeves: should emphasize the upper body and arms.
Loose, flared sleeves will help to build volume on
the upper body.
(vi) Skirt: should mask the wider mid-section and be
right above the knee, on the knee, or at the calf
Broad shoulders and/or bust (i) Loosely draping fabric like chiffon silk and linen
with narrow hips can be used for bottom outfits. Avoid skinny
stretchable fabrics like spandex.
(ii) Choose clothes that add curves to the hips and
bottom.
(iii) Create the illusion of a waist with details by
selecting clothes that add volume to the lower
body to widen the hips.
(iv) Neckline: should be slimmer and long to reduce
the width of the upper body for example deep
and narrow U-or V necklines.
(v) Choose an asymmetric style to break up the chest
vertically.
(vi) Sleeves: should be the ones that make the upper
body appear slimmer. Tight-fitted short sleeves
such as raglans and kimono are suitable as they
add volume around the hips.
