Textiles and Garment Construction
Make a list: List down all the clothes you have by considering their kind and colour,
then list down what you want to have and what is need. Prioritize the needed clothes.
A wardrobe chart will help you to identify the clothes you need. The best addition to
your wardrobe is a garment that will help to satisfy both your needs and wants. Ask
yourself the following questions; Do I really need it? Does it go with other items in
my wardrobe? Can I wear it for more than one occasion? Can I change the look by
changing the accessories? Does the colour, style and texture complement my skin tone
and body shape?
Make a wardrobe plan chart: This chart helps an individual to have a better plan of
belongings, to determine which clothes are dominant and will give a picture of what
you need and make a plan for purchasing new ones. The following is an example of a
wardrobe plan chart.

Organise a wardrobe: The storage space should be well organised to keep the clothes
neat and easier to find. The following are key points to consider when organising a
wardrobe.
