Introduction

Fastenings are important in garment construction and making household
articles. They can be used for functional or decorative purposes to enhance the
appearance of a garment. In this chapter, you will learn the concept of fastenings,
types and rules for attaching them. You will also practise how to attach various
fastenings on a garment. The competencies developed will enable you to attach
various types of fastenings appropriately when constructing garments.
