Importance of principles and practices in crop production
Good agricultural practices in crop production are crucial for farmers and other
people engaged in agricultural-related fields, such as those working in gardening,
plant science, research, food processors, distributors, and sellers. Understanding
the principles and practices helps an individual produce crops efficiently and
sustainably and, therefore, a successful crop farming business.
General principles and practices of crop production
Principles and practices of crop production are the scientific theories, ways,
methods, and rules of producing crops. It involves basic factors, theories, cultural
operations, and practices that govern profitable crop production in terms of
growth, development, and yield or revenue accrued after input costs have been
removed from total revenue. To produce any crop profitably and sustainably, it
is recommended to adhere to the principles and practices of crop production.
