1. Introduction to real assets: Provide students with a foundational
understanding of real assets and their importance in investment
portfolios so as to understand on what real assets are, including
examples (e.g., real estate, agricultural land, precious metals)

emphasising inflation hedging, diversification, tangible value,
income generation, and capital appreciation.
2. Research assignment: Encourage students to utilise various
information sources to gather data on real asset investments and
instruct students to use libraries, reputable financial websites,
investment guides, and academic journals to gather information.
3. Data collection and analysis: Facilitate the collection,
organisation, and analysis of data on different real asset investment
options by guiding students in creating data collection templates
(e.g., spreadsheets) to organise information; instruct students to
look for details on potential income generation, risks, and long-
term benefits of each investment option and encourage critical
analysis of the collected data, focusing on practicality, feasibility,
and expected returns.
4. Group presentations: Allow students to present their findings and
defend their investment choices; each group presents their findings
on real asset investment options for families and public institution
employees. Their presentations should include visual aids such as
slides, charts, and graphs to illustrate findings and allocate time for
questions and feedback from peers and the presenter.
