Guidance on Activity 3.2
(a) Guide every student to use various electronic devices to
search financial institutions providing loans to medium-sized
businesses in Tanzania.

(b) Guide students in manageable groups to visit nearby financial
institutions identified to inquire information about the
conditions for providing loans to medium-sized businesses.
(c) Guide the students to think-ink-pair-share how they can
improve the conditions of providing loans.
(d) Use an appropriate technique to have the students present their
answers.
Possible answers
Some of the conditions for loan provision to medium-sized businesses
are as follows:
(a) Purpose of the loan;
(b) Collateral or security;
(c) Amount of the money to be borrowed;
(d) Source of repayment (primary source of repayment); and
(e) Duration of repaying the loan or repayment plan.
NOTE: Primary source of repayment refers to the fund from the
project or business in which the fund borrowed has been
invested. A secondary source of repayment is the collateral
of the loan.
Activity 3.3
This activity aims to enable students to identify some of the
business enterprises that have accessed financial support, how did
they secure it, and how those businesses have benefited from that
support.
