Introduction

Good relationships among different nations lead to the interaction of people using
different languages. Whereas accurate translation and interpretation enable them
to communicate more easily. In this chapter, you will learn about the concepts of
translation and interpretation, as well as expand your translation skills by translating
various simple formal and informal documents. The competencies developed will
enable you to perform translation and interpretation work fluently and accurately,
from Chinese to other languages and vice versa, in different language settings such as
courts, industries, hospitals, and markets.
