              Introduction

           Developing vocabulary from both conversations and written texts is pivotal as it
           helps you accumulate words and shape your ability to communicate effectively.
           Knowledge of wide-ranging vocabulary enhances your ability  to comprehend
           complex concepts, express yourself clearly and excel academically across disciplines.
           In this chapter, you will share your stories using given words, act out dialogues,
           play a Pelmanism vocabulary game, deliver a speech and form new words from
           it. You will also read a story and act out a courtroom drama. The competencies
           developed will enable you to use English more confidently and successfully.






                       Think about

                      1.  the situations in your daily life where you encountered oral
                         information that required you to understand and explain different
                         types of meanings.
                      2.  the ways to enrich your vocabulary and use it to convey different
                         meanings.
                      3.  the ways to improve your proficiency of using specialised vocabulary
                         to convey meanings in speech and writing.
