                 Naomi: ______________
                 James: Why?

                 Naomi: ______________

James: And what can we do about it?

          (c) Play the Pelmanism vocabulary game using the provided procedure and words in
the box below. You will need to find the definitions of the words first.

                      conundrum altruistic resilient eloquent inherent
                      ambiguous ubiquitous pragmatic benevolent divergent

             1. Gather a set of index cards or small pieces of paper. Write each word on a card
and its definition on another card.

             2. Shuffle the cards thoroughly to mix up the words and their definitions. Then, lay
them face down on a flat surface, such as a table or the floor.

             3. To play, ask each player to flip over one card of a word at a time and search for
the match with its definition. If they find a match, they go again. If the cards are
not a match, the player turns them back and the next player goes.

             4. The player who correctly picks many matches of words and their definitions
                 becomes the winner.

             5. Most often, the game is played by two to four people at a time.
