Summary
1. A number being divided is known as the dividend, a number
that divides another number is known as the divisor, and
the number obtained after division is known as the quotient.
2. The quotient may be with or without a remainder.
3. In the division of whole numbers, start dividing the digits of
the dividend from the left side towards the right.
