Statement of account
This is the document prepared and sent by the seller to the buyer at the end of every

period (usually each month) acting as a reminder to the buyer to pay the outstanding
balance. The statement of account contains information concerning the details on the
invoices that were issued to the customer during the period, the amount paid by the
customer during the period and the outstanding balance at the end of the period. Figure
4.6 shows a sample of a statement of account.
