b.  韵母韵母Finals



           汉语普通话里有39个韵母,可以分为单韵母、复韵母和鼻韵母三大类。
           复韵母包括二合韵母和三合韵母。见下表
           There  are  39  finals  in  Mandarin  Chinese,  which  can  be  divided  into  three  main

           categories: simple finals, compound finals, and nasal finals. Compound finals include

           除以上韵母外,还有四个单韵母-i、i-、ê 和er。
           In addition to the finals mentioned above, there are four more single finals: -i, i-, ê and er.

           其中,-i只能和z,c,s相拼。如:zì(字),cí(词),sì(四)。i-只能和zh,ch,sh,r
           相拼。如:zhīdào(知道),chīfàn(吃饭),rènshí(认识),rì(日)。ê不
           与任何声母相拼,只构成复韵母ie,üe,书写时省去上面的附加符号;er不与任何
           声母相拼。例如:èr(二)érzi(儿子),ěrduo(耳朵)。
                •    -i can only combine with the initials z, c, and s. For example: zì (字), cí (词), sì (四).
             •  i- can only combine with the initials zh, ch, sh, and r. For example: zhīdào (知道),
                 chīfàn (吃饭), rènshí (认识), rì (日).
             •  ê does not combine with any initials and only forms compound finals like ie and üe.
                 The additional diacritical mark on top is omitted when writing.
             •  er does not combine with any initials. For example: èr (二), érzi (儿子), ěrduo
                 (耳朵).
