Activity 4.6
In groups, perform the following tasks:
1. Pay a visit to a school and nearby rabbit farm. Observe and draw a rough sketch
of the observed rabbit house and present comments related with house structure.
2. Briefly, demonstrate how you can make a livestock house of your choice by
using locally available materials found in your area for the selected livestock
species. Present your work in class.
3. Outline the lessons you have learnt from this activity and record them in your
portfolio.

Exercise 4.3
Answer the following questions:
1. List the common types of livestock houses suitable for dairy cattle.
2. Briefly, explain the advantages of cage system for laying hens.
3. List the advantages and challenges of house and run system of poultry keeping.
