This textbook, Business Studies for Secondary Schools, is written specifically for
Form Three students in the United Republic of Tanzania. It is written in accordance
with the 2023 Business Studies Syllabus for Ordinary Secondary Education (Form
I-IV), issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. It contains
contents from Commerce for Secondary Schools books for Form Three and Four
published in 2023.
The book consists of five chapters, namely; Marketing, The policy and regulatory
environment governing small businesses in Tanzania, Small business registration
in Tanzania, Business planning, and Business ethics. You are encouraged to do all
activities and exercises as well as other assignments provided by your teacher. Doing
so will enable you to develop the intended competences.
