              Although formal letters have different types of contents, they almost have the
              same structure. Apart from letters to the editor and order, there are request letters
              and claim/complaint letters. Request letters are written to ask for information,
              assistance, permission, or action from a person, office or organisation.  On the
              other hand, claim/complaint letters are written to inform someone, authority,
              employee or employer of a problem or disapproval of a product, service, or
              situation and usually asks for compensation.

               In a recent interview with a radio presenter in Morogoro, a renowned
               environmentalist  in the  region warned, “Water  pollution  is an impending
               danger to humanity in the region.” She emphasised the pressing need for joint

               actions to address the harmful effects of polluting water sources, particularly
               rivers. She also highlighted the importance of proper waste disposal, urging
               residents to stop discharging toilet waste into rivers. “Strong actions must
               be taken against individuals who direct toilet waste into rivers during rainy

               seasons.” Lastly, she emphasised  that  citizens  should collaborate  with
               regional, district and local authorities to curb the problem.
