             1.  Write your friend’s biography.
             2.  Write a biography of one of your family members.

                 region.
             4.  You have been tasked to write a biography of one of the prominent figures in
                 Tanzania.
             5.  Select one person, seek information and write a standard biography about him.
             6.  Use various sources of information to write a biography of any prominent
                 international person.



           Revision


             1.  Imagine  that  you are a sports prefect  at  your school.  Write  a letter  to
                 Kiembesamaki  Sports and Games Supplier Shop, P.O. Box 71116, Mjini
                 Magharibi. In your letter, place an order for the following items: four footballs,
                 three netballs, two volleyballs, one basketball, and two volleyball nets to be
                 supplied to your school. Sign your name as Sadick Kombo.
             2.  Imagine you are the Head Prefect at your school.  During the election campaign,
                 you promised to build concrete benches for study and recreation purposes.
                 Write a formal letter to the Member of Parliament for Mpanu constituency,
                 P.O. Box 71, Mpanu and request financial support to fund the project. Sign
                 your name as Uhuru Chapakazi.
             3.  Imagine  your school  is  experiencing a  serious water  shortage,  which has
                 affected hygiene and sanitation. Write a formal letter to your Head of School
                 to address the situation from the students’ point of view and suggest possible
                 solutions. Sign your name as Katundu Makalate.
             4.  Write True for a true statement and False for a false one in the following
                 statements.
                 (i)   In a formal letter, you should not write any telephone numbers.

                 (ii)  A full stop is used after the signature in formal letters. ____________
                 (iii)  You don’t have to write your name above your address. ____________
                 (iv)  Your letter should contain as many paragraphs as possible.
