staystitching line at equally intervals
to allow curved seam to spread and
lie flat.

(ix) Turn the facing on the wrong side
of the garment (bodice). Attaching Mandarin collars

(i) Prepare the pattern of mandarin collar

directions as required) and cut the
collar in double layer of the fabric in
a slightly curved diagonal shape.

(x) Press the facing to the edge to get
smooth edges. Hem the back facing Fitting line WS
into position.

(iii) Tack and stitch the collar neatly
following the fitting line making
sure right side face each other.

(iv) Turn out the ends of the collar inside
outside and press.
