The following are the common equipment required in the rabbit house.

                (i) Feeders: These are containers or trays designed to hold rabbit pellets or

can be attached to the cage. They should be easy to clean, durable, and
                     designed to prevent food wastage.
(ii) Hay racks: Wire racks or bins hold hay, a crucial part of a rabbit diet.
They help to keep hay off the ground to avoid contamination.
(iii) Water bottles/bowls: Bottles with sipper tubes that attach to the side
of the cage. Alternatively, heavy, tip-resistant bowls made of concrete
(refer Figure 8.1) may be used . Ensures rabbits have access to clean,
                     fresh water at all times.
(iv) Nesting boxes: Boxes placed in the hutch or cage where does (female
rabbits) can give birth and care for their young. Often made of wood or
metal, filled with straw or soft bedding. Provides warmth and security
                     for new-born kits.
                (v) Litter trays: These trays or pans are placed under the cages to collect
droppings. It makes it easier to clean and manage waste.
(vi) Brushes: Regular brushing helps maintain a rabbit’s coat and prevents
                    matting, especially in long-haired breeds.

            Carriers
Portable cages or boxes are used to transport rabbits safely. It is essential for
moving rabbits to markets, vets, or new housing.
