Activity 5.1
This activity is done after introducing the concept of business

registration. It aims to enable students to describe the benefits
acquired after registering a business.
Guidance on the Activity 5.1
(a) Guide students in manageable groups to visit nearby business
licensing authorities in their locality and request a list of
registered medium-sized businesses in the locality.
(b) Guide the students in the same groups to visit at least three
(3) registered medium-sized businesses and ask the owners or
operators to describe the benefits they acquire from registering
their businesses.
(c) Guide the students to write a report based on the findings from
their visit and submit it.
(d) Provide constructive feedback based on the findings of their
visit by relating them to the concept of business registration as
explained in the student’s textbook.
Possible answers for Exercise 5.1
1. The aspects involved in registering the businesses are explained
in the student’s textbook.
2. The reasons for registering a business are explained in the
student’s textbook.

Guide students through a jigsaw method to describe various medium-
