(a) Read closely the following sample of an essay expressing a personal point of view
after reading a literary work.
FOR ONLINE READING ONLY
After reading the text titled Whispers of the Heart, I find myself compelled to share
my perspective. The author’s portrayal of personal conflict resonates deeply with
me, prompting a reflection on love affairs. Through imagery, the author masterfully
captures the essence of sadness and emotions about jealousy, inviting readers to ponder
its significance.
One aspect that particularly struck me was how Lugano and Siti come into love affairs.
This moment served as a poignant reminder of the unboundery of friendship and
love, shedding light on the complexities of the human experience. Additionally, the
author’s use of imagery imbued the narrative with layers of meaning, enriching my
understanding and appreciation of the text.
Furthermore, Whispers of the Heart prompted me to consider its relevance in today’s
context. Despite being set in the village, the themes explored remain pertinent, offering
valuable insights into contemporary issues such as love and jealousy. This enduring
relevance speaks to the timeless quality of great literature and its ability to transcend
temporal and cultural boundaries.
In conclusion, Whispers of the Heart has left an indelible impression on me, challenging
my perspectives and fostering a deeper appreciation for the power of storytelling. Its
rich tapestry of themes and characters continues to linger in my mind, serving as a
source of contemplation and inspiration. I feel it was worthwhile spending my time
reading this text.
