In the above conversation, words of the same meaning illustrate how individuals
may interpret them differently according to their personal preferences and
perspectives. When Jamila described the movie as “fantastic,” Sarah questioned
her opinion as she heard it was only “nice.” Jamila acknowledges their differing
tastes and suggests that what she finds “fantastic” might be equivalent to Sarah’s
“decent” due to their differing viewpoints. This exchange shows that synonyms
can reflect individual perspectives and subjective interpretations.

practices and underscored the role of renewable energy in addressing the crisis. She
also remarked, “If climate change is not addressed, dire consequences will occur
for future generations.” Lastly, she emphasised that countries should collaborate in
curbing the problem.
