            Stage play

A play is a literary work written for the theatre that dramatises events through the
performance of dialogue, actions and stage directions. A stage play is a dramatic
performance of a story on a stage or theatre. The authors of stage plays, are
called playwrights, and their task is to structure the performances into acts and
scenes. These acts and scenes help build the tension and they present the story in
a compelling way for the audience.
