Determining the Cardinal Directions through a compass

A compass is a device used to identify the North direction. There

are two types of compasses namely: digital compass and analog
compass. Digital compass uses technology to detect and display the
North direction. This type of compass is often integrated into GPS,
modern watches, smartphones, and transport vehicles such as cars,

boats, and planes as shown in Figure 4. An Analog compass uses
a magnetized needle to point to the North.
