Similarly, we can find directions and locations using digital maps and
GPS. GPS helps you determine where you are, while a digital map
shows you where you want to go. After determining your present
location and identifying your destination, the GPS calculates and
shows the distance and direction to follow. Digital maps and GPS
are found on electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and

computers. Different groups of people, including ship captains,
drivers, pilots, geologists, and land surveyors, use maps in their
work to determine locations, distances, and directions.
