In our environment, some objects allow light rays to pass
through. These objects are called transparent. For example,

glass and some plastic. Objects that allow only portion of light
to pass through are called translucent. Examples include foggy
bottle. Objects that block light completely are called opaque.

For example, wood, books and walls.

From the reliable sources of information researched, you have
observed how light passes through various objects. By marking

“√” on appropriate statement and diagram it shows that:

              (a) Light passes easily through a transparent object, such as a

car windshield glass bowl and clean window glass.

              (b) Light passes partially through an object if it has limited
transparency, such as foggy glass and an ice block

              (c) Light cannot penetrate the opaque object. Examples

include pieces of wood and cooking pot.
