               (d) Add the third and little fingers to apply pressure
                  evenly with the full hand (refer to Figure 9.10
                  (d)). Do not pull  or jerk  the  teat,  as this can
                  cause pain and injury to the cow. Use both hands
                  in an alternating rhythm to maintain a smooth
                  and steady milk flow.
