Internal parasites
These are parasites that live and feed inside the animal body. They include roundworm
(Ascaris spp.), tapeworm (Taenia spp.) and flat-worm (Liver fluke- Fasciola spp.).
Figures 6.10 (a) to (d) show some common internal parasites in farm animals while
Table 6.3 gives types of internal parasites, their respective hosts and effects they
cause on the host.
