Activity 6.4
Perform the following tasks:
1. Using skills and knowledge you have acquired in parasites control, assess and
decide on a suitable parasite control and management approach you will employ
in your area by considering specific class of livestock.

2. In groups, use the knowledge gained in this chapter, your previous experience,
reference to literature and resource persons in your area to find out proper control
and management measures of external and internal parasites for the livestock
produced in your area.

3. Summarise your findings together with lessons learnt from this activity in your
portfolio and present them in class.

Answer the following questions:

(b) Host
2. Explain any five control and management measures you will use to prevent
liver fluke infestation to the livestock in your area.

3. What measures can be employed to prevent parasite infestation from livestock
to human beings and vice versa.
