Biogas
Livestock owners can benefit by collecting the dung produced by animals in stalls
for making biogas. The biogas becomes an important source of energy on the farm
and the homestead. A single dairy cow can support a family of four persons in
production of fuel for cooking and water heating. It is also possible to use biogas for
home lighting. In the process, the dung can be decomposed into manure (slurry) that
can be applied in crop farm or fish pond.
