          Disbudding and dehorning
This is the removal of horn buds and cutting horns of calves and adults. Recall all
the equipment used for this task from Form One book. When done before the horns
attach to the skull at two months old, it is termed as disbudding. Disbudding or
dehorning has the advantage of reducing the risk of the bull to injure other animals
or farm attendants as well as easy handling and transporting.

          Record keeping

This is very important in dairy farming. Important records in a dairy farm are feeding,
breeding, production, health and financial records. Examples of these records are
shown in Tables 10.2 and 10.3. Other records are illustrated in the record keeping
          chapters.
