Business ethics
Introduction
Imagine operating a business that not only makes you successful but also makes
your community proud. In today’s world, success is not just about what you sell or
how much profit you make. It is about how you treat people and make decisions, and
how your business impacts the community around you. In this chapter, you will learn
about the concept of business ethics. The competences developed will enable you
to start and grow strong, trustworthy businesses that create positive change in the
community.

Activity 5.1
Design a creative poster titled “Our Family Code of Conduct”. In your poster, include
a list of important values and norms that guide how members of your family interact
with one another and live together. This may include:
(a) How do you show respect to elders or siblings;
(b) How your family handles conflict or disagreements;
(c) Rules around daily routines, such as meals, chores, or study time;
(d) Ways your family shows love, care, or support; and
(e) Cultural or religious practices and values your family follows.
Use drawings, symbols, or colours to represent each value or norm creatively. Your
poster should be neat, easy to read, and reflect your family’s unique identity.
