                 Introduction

                 Listening for comprehension involves the ability to accurately interpret and
                 understand spoken language. In this chapter, you will discuss, respond to
                 and make comments on various oral messages. The competencies developed
                 will enable you to follow conversations, understand instructions, and engage
                 effectively in real-life communications.

                  4.  How was the African continent divided among the imperialist nations?
                  5.  How can you distinguish a discussion from a negotiation?
