          (d)  Run and fell seam:
                This is among the strong seams because two rows of stitching are done to finish
                it. The seam is made by placing one edge inside a folded edge of fabric. The fold
                is then, stitched down by hand on the wrong side of the garment using hemming
                stitches. The folded edge of the fabric protects the raw edge from fraying. The seam is
                suitable for garments which are washed frequently, for example, pants and petticoat.
