Introduction
In this chapter, students will learn about identification of business
opportunities and business plan development. The competences
developed will enable students to develop a business plan for a
medium-sized business.
Think
(a) Guide the students to think-ink-pair-share about the
sustainability of a business which0 has not been
properly planned.
(b) Link the students’ responses with the intended
competence to be developed through this chapter.
Identification of business opportunities
Guide the students in manageable groups to explain the meaning of
business ideas, business opportunities, and identify different business
opportunities in their environment. Thereafter, guide the students to
generate business ideas, screen, rank business ideas, and mind map
the selected business idea on a business model, like Business Model
Canvas (BMC).
