Think about sections
These sections are found in all the chapters in the Student’s Book.
They have been included to guide the students through sharing their
ideas about the entire chapter. A ‘Think about’ section is a valuable tool
for enhancing student engagement, promoting creativity, and fostering
a collaborative learning environment. Therefore, you are advised to
facilitate the discussion to encourage them to express themselves
orally as a class the think section is important for several reasons:
Encourages creativity and critical thinking: It allows students to
think outside the box and come up with new and innovative ideas.
It encourages them to explore different perspectives and consider
various solutions to a problem.
Fosters collaboration and teamwork: It requires students to work
together, share ideas, and build on each other’s thoughts. This promotes
a sense of community and collaboration within the class.
Builds communication skills: It helps students practice articulating
their ideas and listening to others. It teaches them how to effectively
communicate and express their thoughts in a group setting.
Promotes active learning: It engages students in the learning process
and encourages them to actively participate in discussions. It helps them
develop a deeper understanding of the topic and retain information
better.
Boosts self-confidence: The section provides students with a platform
to share their ideas and opinions. This can help boost their self-
confidence and self-esteem, as they see their contributions valued by
their peers.
